5 Star Reviews
With over 120 5-star reviews across Google and Facebook, Elevate Automotive is trusted by drivers across Hertfordshire for flawless PPF installations and premium vehicle protection. Here’s what our customers say:
“I bought a three year old Range Rover 525 autobiography with fully loaded spec. Decided to have Elevate restore paintwork and ceramic coat all of outside including wheels, trim and glass . Really excellent job with attention to detail resulting in superb finish. With my private plate many friends assumed it was brand new. Highly recommend Elevate to do a great job.”
Was recommended Elevate for ceramic coating of a newly refurbed set of alloy wheels. Quality and service is absolutely superb, Lewis is extremely helpful and does a brilliant job. I’d highly recommend him and will be taking my cars back to him in the future. Many thanks
Lewis impressed with his consultative and personable approach to detailing my pride and joy. Never overselling, but was able to talk through what I was after and match to what they can do. My car looks amazing with the 2 stage paint correction and ceramic coating. Brilliant job and excellent communication – would recommend to anyone either looking to revive their pride and joy or adding a sparkle prior to sale.
Why New Cars Need PPF From Day One
A brand-new car might look flawless when it leaves the dealership, but the first few weeks of driving are when paintwork damage happens most. Motorway miles, road grit, stone chips and incorrect washing can quickly mark the paint, and once the paint is damaged, it’s expensive to fix properly. New Car PPF protects your vehicle straight away, keeping the paint in perfect condition and preserving that fresh “just collected” finish for longer.
Benefits of New Car PPF (Paint Protection Film)
Paint Protection Film is one of the best upgrades you can make to a new vehicle. Key benefits include:
- Stops stone chips and impact damage on high-risk areas like the bumper and bonnet
- Protects against scratches and swirl marks from everyday driving and washing
- Self-healing technology helps light marks disappear with heat (SunTek PPF)
- Maintains your factory paintwork and keeps your car looking newer for longer
- Improves resale value by preserving the condition of the bodywork

FAQS: New Car PPF
We’ve answered some of the most common questions about New Car Paint Protection Film (PPF) to help you decide if it’s the right option for your vehicle.
If you have any questions, contact us on 01442 967147, we are happy to help!
What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent, durable polyurethane film applied to your vehicle’s paintwork to protect it from stone chips, scratches, road debris, swirl marks and environmental contaminants. It acts as a virtually invisible barrier that helps preserve your car’s factory finish and maintain a clean, high-gloss look. Premium films like SunTek PPF also feature self-healing properties, meaning light surface marks can disappear naturally with heat from sunlight or warm water.
Is PPF worth it on a new car?
Yes, PPF is one of the best investments you can make for a new car, especially if you want to keep it looking brand new for as long as possible. The first few months of driving often cause the most damage, with stone chips and swirl marks appearing quickly on the front end. PPF protects the paint from day one, helps reduce long-term repair costs, and can significantly improve resale value by keeping the original paintwork in excellent condition.
When should you get PPF installed on a new car?
The best time to install new car PPF is as soon as possible, ideally before the vehicle has built up any chips, scratches or wash marks. Installing PPF early means the film is applied over near-perfect paintwork, giving the most seamless finish and maximum protection from the very first drive. Many owners choose to book PPF straight away or within the first week of collecting their new vehicle.
What areas should I protect with new car PPF?
The most common areas for new car PPF are the front bumper, bonnet, wings, headlights and mirrors, as these are most vulnerable to stone chips and road debris. Depending on your driving habits, extended protection can also be added to areas like the A-pillars, side skirts and rear arches, or full car PPF. For complete peace of mind, full vehicle coverage is the ultimate option for protecting every painted panel.
How long does Paint Protection Film last?
Premium PPF can last up to 10 years when installed correctly and maintained properly. SunTek Paint Protection Film is backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty, giving long-term reassurance and protection. Lifespan can vary depending on mileage, driving conditions, washing habits and how the vehicle is stored.
Does PPF damage paint when removed?
No, professionally installed PPF is designed to be safely removed without damaging the paintwork beneath, as long as the vehicle has original paint and the film is removed correctly. In many cases, once removed, the paint underneath can look noticeably better than exposed panels because it has been protected from UV exposure and wear.
How much does new car PPF cost?
The cost of new car PPF depends on the level of coverage you choose. At Elevate Automotive, New Car Front End PPF packages start from £1100, with extended and full vehicle options available. Every installation is tailored to your vehicle, so the best way to get an accurate price is to request a quote.
What’s the difference between ceramic coating and PPF for a new car?
PPF and ceramic coating both protect your paintwork, but they do different things. PPF is designed to protect against physical damage, like stone chips, scratches and impact marks. Ceramic coating is primarily for chemical resistance and easier cleaning, helping protect against grime, water spots and contaminants. Many new car owners choose a combination of both for the best overall protection.
Why is PPF called clear bra?
You may have seen this term used interchangeably with PPF when searching for new car protection. This is to do with the traditional car bras of the 1980s and 90s. These were designed to protect the front end of a vehicle from impact damage. As PPF now performs the same role, but is made of nearly-invisible polyurethane (rather than leather or vinyl as traditional car bras used to be), it’s known as clear bra.
Whilst it used to refer to protection for the high-impact areas at the front of the car, clear bra is now used the same as PPF to refer to any coverage of the vehicle with paint protection film.
